Launched my new venture today ! Scrappy Snowman is the first item on sale. I have lots more bits to finish off but lots of lovely online friends giving me support. Pickle is , of course, Michael who was out doing research in the field. Boo on the other hand likes to stay in and think up ideas Looking forward to lots of sales ( she says with fingers crossed behind her back)

I have been making monsters And a Christening gest book and a blanket for  charity auction - the first bid was £50! Amazing. Pickle has been working hard on ideas for our Facebook page - Gin and Pickle but so far everything looks like Peppa pig - Oh well better than nothing!

Meet Hattie Hare - don't know where she is headed but with a new baby on the way you never know there may be a little girl....or boy! This bag of loveliness arrived last week from an anonymous friend. Its the yarn for a knit along and the first part of the pattern will be online on the 7th of April which just happens to be our 36th Wedding Anniversary. I was so touched to receive this bag of  wonderfullness that I cried - Thank you my kind friend especially as it had much love tucked inside. Dont know how Hattie sneaked in all these pics? My latest makes, doll and baby cardigans for boys and girls - hedging my bets a bit.

Its almost February!

I bought 2 of these little pots with Ivy and cyclamen in for £1 each. I wanted ivy for Michaels fairy garden and one of the pots will be re-planted with bulbs for Mums birthday. Just need to find space to get my seeds and bulbs started as all the window ledges are full of overwintering geraniums. Picked up a pck of peat pots and trays to sit them on in £land the other day and have compost and vermiculite warming in the kitchen. Knitted a first size cardigan for stocking Gin and Pickle at Easter - lovely simple pattern, just my kinfd of thing! These two look comfy but may need  longer couch as Pickle is growing taller every week.

Making Do and Mending in January

I have finished my patchwork baby blanket tonight, though it has taken several months I have only done bits at  time. This will be stored away for  future grandchild - nowt like hope ! This is a pile of Christian Dior fabric Mum bought me many years ago from the factoryshe worked in. I was wanting some nice cotton pillowcases and this is the solution.Thats my task for tomorrow now the quilt is finished. Then Im going to unpick an old jacket of mine and use it  as a pattern for a new one - possibly more than once. Its such a comfy well fitting jacket but worn out and I am hoping I can lengthen it to make a coat too.

Thank goodness its a New Year

3 pictures from December, first is Michaels free kitchen about to be thrown in the bin till a friend rescued it and Hubby slowly renovated it. Our magical deer in the back garden  gifted by our neighbour - next year they will be part of a Christmas scene. Last but not least 15 blankets, 2 cushions and some lavender hearts I donated to the childrens hospital - I can stop making things so they may as well go somewhere they will be of use. Last but not least little man seeking refuge from the Christmas shennagins - it was all too much for my auty boy. At least he actually joined in opening gifts this year and rather likes choclate advent calendars
